Yup, 6:21pm on a Friday night and I'm still working. Decided to pause and blog for a while. See, I'm trying to catch up with my admin work which took a back seat the moment the Borrower meetings I've been feverishly pursuing finally took off. My direct boss, Anthony, flew in from Cebu this morning and stayed in our Makati office working on his back-log as well. With 73 accounts and only 2 people managing these portfolio, I think I need an extra head and another pair of hands and arms. Uuuuugh! There's this Wakasan Komiks my yaya (nanny) used to read. The story revolved around a girl with three heads in one body. While in the womb, her mother constantly craved for señorita bananas that were tighly knitted to each other na parang kambal. Ayun. The sort of funny part of the story was that each of the three heads had 3 different suitors! Imagine the three heads marrying!!! Honeymoon horror, that's what it is. Only a pinoy can imagine a story like that.
Earlier this afternoon, I was craving for a Starbucks mocha frap coz the weather was soooo cool and the grayish blue hue of the laguna bay view in front of me was lulling me to sleep. Being alone in the office, I could have curled on the sofa and just followed the instinct. Instead, i decided to clean up a bit, gathered piles of a week's worth of paper litter and threw them out the trash bin. We don't have a company janitor who picks up after us after a days work. We manage our own garbage.
To end this, I'm thinking of buying a siamese cat who will look forward to my daily home comings. I know, i know.... owning a dog is a whole lot better but our townhouse is too small for a dog. Cats just like to sleep and get stroked and they clean-up after themselves....very low maintenance. So, anyone out there who has a friend of a friend who is a friend of a friend who knows a friend of a friend who can point me to a siamese cat, please do me this favor.

P.S. My bamboo plant is sprouting a new leaf though the surrounding leaves are still turning yellow. Hmmmmm.....
