I WANNA TAKE PICTURES!

Sometime last year, my friend Ramir asked me what my passion was and I said "Badminton". Can't go through a week without it, can't wait to get out of the office for it, and would wait up until 10:45 pm just to see Kennevic Asuncion on Badminton Extreme (ok, ok, his hosting skill needs a lot of improvement but hey! he's an athlete, not a TV show host).

Lately however, I've been thinking of wanting to learn a new sport or get into a new hobby, and topping my list is photography and diving, both of which needs a considerable amount of time and money. Money I can swing (half-heartedly though, as I'm nursing a Europe nest egg), but Time (?)...oh boy...

Photography tops my list because its a non-spoken avenue of communication that takes the message across. There's no such thing as language barrier. A well-taken photograph captures the serenity, the angst, the confusion, the euphoria, the contentment...whatever it is the photographer wishes to convey, and I wanna learn to convey via this medium.

My dad has this special book edition of LIFE Magazine that I enjoy looking at. It covers very moving photos starting from the Depression to World War II, to JFK as a US Senator up to his assasination as President, countryside scenery, families, fashion get-up of the 70's (the bra and jeans combination actually made it on American streets), from animals, to sports. I love that book.

Last Saturday night, I took a picture of my Mocha Frap at Starbucks in Alabang after watching the last full show of "Derailed" with Joy Guev. Picture came out tagilid (skewed). I love mocha fraps. I was sipping it at 1:00 in the morning while listening to Joy missing out on playing golf.

Oh well, soon siguro when i have time na...or when I turn 40. Hmmm, tagal pa nun, when I turn 38 na lang.
