I believe that everyone, at one time or another, has experienced the last song syndrome. Its when you leave your car and the last song your heard was Precious and Few and you find yourself humming "...Precious and few are the moments we two can share. Quiet and blue as the sky, I'm hung over you..." as you enter the elevator going to your office, that sort of thing.
Today, in my case, it was a burst of a Mass Hymn sung during Offertory or during Communion that entered my mind while I was writing, of all things, a Credit Approval Memo for P21.0Million. Really strange. The Mass Hymn is called Suscipe and it goes like this:
Take and receive O Lord, my Liberty.
Take all my will, my mind, my memory.
All things I hold, and all I own, are Thine.
Thine was the gift, to Thee, I all resign.
To Thou direct, and govern all and sway.
Do what Thy will command and I obey.
Only Thy grace, Thy Love for me bestow,
These make me rich, all else will I forego.
'Guess this was just to remind me that everybit of who I am belongs to God and everything that I do should always be pleasing to HIM and for HIS glory. HIS love for me is more than enough to sustain and strengthen me as life continues to unfold before me and at the end of my Life's journey, HE is my Reward.
We all have our questions. HE will answer in HIS time.
