LOLA AUNTY TURNS 90

Last Sunday, my mom told me that we were invited to attend the 90th birthday party of Lola Aunty. Lola Aunty is the mother of my Tita Lita, my mom's sister-in-law. We're pretty close to Tita Lita's family. The party was to be held at the Clubhouse of Greenfield Estates in Calamba, Laguna. I didn't really feel like going to Lola Aunty's party only because I felt I was going to get bored looking at the congregation of old people. Fond as I am of Lola Aunty, I would have just gladly gone to their house in Calamba and spent time talking to her over a simple lunch instead of a party. Lola Aunty used to be the Principal of one of the oldest elementary schools in Calamba and though she's already 90, her mind's still sharp and she's so much fun to talk to. She doesn't look 90 years old either.

Anyway, in the end, I decided to attend the party with the thought of amusing myself by taking pictures of the place. Greenfield Estates is pretty new so everything was neat and orderly. I just felt that the design of the place didn't blend with the natural environment, parang pinilit. The best description I can say is maganda yung lugar pero ang daming cosmetics. Anyway, I'm starting to fall asleep now as its past my bed time and there's still work tomorrow. Just look at the pictures below and judge for yourself.

POST SCRIPT: My newly lasered eyes are still adjusting to the 20/20 vision. Though I can see without my glasses, the images are not yet sharp. Will tell more about the Lasik Surgery this coming weekend.
